OPCD’s Employee of the Quarter Y’Esha Williams
OPCD believes in acknowledging our staff’s successes to help them develop not only professionally, but to also recognize their own true potential. With that goal in mind, OPCD has created the Employee of the Quarter Award to honor employees who go above and beyond to #SHOWUP for the City of New Orleans. Each of our Employee of the Quarter recipients is nominated by their peers for exemplary work and dedication to helping people both on and off the OPCD campus.
We are proud to announce that the recipient of OPCD’s Employee of the Quarter Award for the 1st Quarter of 2023 is Emergency Communications Specialist I, Y’Esha Williams.
For OPCD Emergency Communications Specialist I, Y’Esha Williams, the motivation for coming to work is directly tied to the feeling she gets from knowing that she has made a difference in someone’s life by answering their emergency call. Ms. Williams started her career at OPCD on December 26th, 2021. In addition to her duties as an operations specialist, she also serves as a CTO, Certified Training Operator for OPCD.
“This motivates me to come to work with a positive mind set and attitude because I am an integral part of that new hire’s perspective and success here at OPCD, and I want them to be proud and enjoy their role as I do,” she said.
Asked what she felt having won the prestigious award, Ms. Williams shared her feelings of gratitude and joy.
“I was ecstatic just knowing I had been nominated by a group of my peers, co-workers, and management team. So, when I received the email that I was given the award, I was humbled and honored to serve as the Employee of the 1st Quarter here at OPCD.”
Ms. Williams is proud to win this award which signifies how dedication, time, and efforts are appreciated at OPCD.
“I will continue to be me, do me and “SHOW UP” for OPCD.”
