OPCD Reminds New Orleans Residents and Visitors of
Emergency and Non-Emergency Reporting Options and Technology
Available During Final Days of Carnival Season
NEW ORLEANS (February 12, 2021) – During the final days of Carnival Season, OPCD is reminding residents and visitors of options and technology available to them should they need to report emergency and non-emergency situations.
“Carnival Season is a busy time for public safety officials in this city, even while restrictions relating to COVID-19 are in place,” stated OPCD Executive Director, Tyrell Morris. “OPCD wants our visitors and residents to know that we have a host of options available to them should they need to report emergency and non-emergency situations, including text chat, along with picture and video capabilities. Whether you are calling 9-1-1, 3-1-1 or any of our 10-digit numbers, our call takers can quickly and easily walk you through how to use any of these multimedia functions.
OPCD reminds residents and visitors to first call 9-1-1 or 3-1-1 (or the 10-digit numbers listed below) so a call taker can enable text chat, picture and/or video functionality during the call as needed.
