Simetra Johnson Appointed to OPCD Training and Compliance Supervisor Position

OPCD is proud to announce the appointment of Simetra Johnson to the position of Training and Compliance Supervisor. Simetra is a dynamic regulations professional with more than five years of investigative experience as a Training and Compliance Specialist with OPCD.

Since joining OPCD as a Training and Compliance Specialist in April of 2016, Simetra has consistently demonstrated her ability to provide successful training courses and regiments to employees based on training and compliance best practices and latest trends, resulting in greater staff awareness and more efficient agency response to emergency situations. She is a graduate of Walter L. Cohen Senior High School located in Uptown New Orleans and has a desire to continue growing professionally while supporting employees with their professional needs.

In her new role as Training and Compliance Supervisor, Simetra will provide supervision and guidance to the Training and Compliance Team, maintaining the agency’s training program for all employees, while also conducting investigations, providing prompt and indepth findings and executing quality assurance programs to ensure key performance goals are met. She will also coach and counsel employees regarding work habits, and function as an Operations Supervisor on the floor and bridge when needed.
